Mrs. Fung Yee AuYeung died peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Sugar Land, Texas at the age of 94. Mrs. AuYeung is survived by her daughters Maria Yap and Grace Koo, and son-in-law Michael Koo. Her grandchildren Sonia and Kevin Morris, Andrew and Shirley Yap, Stacy and Matthew Young, and Kevin Yap. Her great grandchildren Hannah and Abigail Yap and Lily Grace Morris. She is preceded in death by her husband Reverend Hing Cheung AuYeung and son-in-law Daniel Yap.

Mrs. Fung Yee AuYeung was born on July 2, 1922 in Canton, China. She married Rev. Hing Cheung AuYeung in 1946. They moved to Hong Kong where her husband served as the Pastor of Tsim Sha Tsui Baptist Church in Kowloon, HK. In 1957, Rev. AuYeung left Hong Kong to further his education in the United States at Fort Worth Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas, while Mrs. AuYeung raised her two daughters in Hong Kong. In 1959, Rev. AuYeung returned to Hong Kong to serve as Senior Pastor of Kowloon City Baptist Church and taught at HK Baptist Theological Seminary, while she served faithfully as Pastor's wife.

She and her husband moved to the United States in 1969, where her husband received his Master of Theology degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and she worked in the nursery caring for infants and babies. In January 1971, she and her husband moved to New York City, where Rev. AuYeung served as Pastor of Trust in God Baptist Church in Chinatown. When her husband suffered from a massive stroke in 1979, they moved to Houston, Texas where both their daughters were living. She was the primary caretaker for her husband until he went to be with the Lord in 1995. Mrs. AuYeung began living in the J.B. Goldberg Towers in 1997. She lived there until her passing and loved being a resident there, among friends, for almost 19 years.
