Joe Ruffino, Jr., age 64, of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 9, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Joe, Sr., and Carmela Ruffino.

Deputy Ruffino began his career in the Courts Division, where he was trained in all the various courts, and, in addition, he also entered and graduated from the Harris County Sheriff's Academy and Jail School, and is certified as a Peace Officer and County Jailer. Joe Ruffino, Jr., age 64, of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 9, 2017. He was born on February 11, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Joe, Sr., and Carmela Ruffino.

Deputy Ruffino began his career in the Courts Division, where he was trained in all the various courts, and, in addition, he also entered and graduated from the Harris County Sheriff's Academy and Jail School, and is certified as a Peace Officer and County Jailer. Upon completion of the Academy and Jail School, he returned to the Courts Division as Bailiff for the Mental Health Court, which was held on the 11th floor of Jefferson Davis Hospital on Allen Parkway. Later in his career, Joe was assigned as a Process Server to the 248th District Criminal Court. He had a brief assignment in the County Criminal Court at Law #9, and in 1995 was assigned to the 176th District Criminal Court where he had served till retirement in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Joe Sr., and Mother, Carmela Ruffino, and Brother, Frank Ruffino.He is survived by his Brothers, Vince Sr., (Patsy) Ruffino and Richard Sr., (Robin) Ruffino, and Sister-In-Law, Patricia Ruffino; Nieces and Nephews, Vince Jr. "Bubba", Laura, Natalie, Michael, Richard Jr., "Nathan", and Anthony; and a host of Great-Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.

A special Thank-You to Sister-in-laws; Pat, Robin, and Patsy for their unconditional love and support.

There will be a visitation on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077 and a funeral service on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 am at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home with a committal to follow at the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Cemetery.
